I don't want to lead an army life

It's been, what, a month since my last post. Lots have been happening, like enlistment. Ninja pride!

Anyway, I've got viral fever right now and I feel like shit. Actually, I feel alright, but I don't really feel like blogging right now. Maybe next week.

And I will change my blog song.

HIGH FIVE!! *poke*

So far in my circle of friends, I only know of Emmanuel who uses the same stock blog skin as me, but now Yvonne has joined the club. For now. Nah, she'll change it soon. Maro and I are both oo lazy to bother, or write posts, for the matter.

Gonna change my blog music soon. Expect eveyone's sick of Foo Fighters. Will do that when I feel like it, but definitely before I go in.

Well, it's the 1st of March already. That leaves me exactly a fortnight of freedom. Hmmmm...

Saturday caused a bit of confusion for some people, cuz we were saying we wanted to have a welcome party for the new youth ministry members, and then it turned out to be a regular meeting. Mel walked in and sat down, and after a few minutes asked me "Isn't this supposed to be a party?" Lol

Fr. Bosco managed to secure the youth room for us instead of us having to share the already small room with the seminarian... seminariat... the other guy. Dunno how he managed it; always thought Fr. Johnson was going to give us a hard time with this.

I think Cheryl has it out for me. She disagreed when I said orange on black was a good colour scheme for the new ministry T Shirt, and she disagreed with me when I said a particular badge design was nice. Then later when Gloria and Bernie said it was nice, she agreed, an in the end it became the final design. Rrrgh... I think she's doing this to annoy me because of how I called her a Ghost Rider (when she opens her eyes really big, it's kind of intimidating to look into them). Lol I'm only kidding.

We got sick of the whole Pastamaia-Long John's-Burger King routine for lunch after mass, so this time, we went to Pizza Hut. SEE WHAT YOU MISS OUT ON WHEN YOU DON'T GO TO CHURCH?! Victor had his camera with him, and he's had it for a few months now, but his trigger happiness was as though he had just gotten it. He was taking pictures of everything and everyone, even the menu. We're all still waiting for him to post them online.

After that, went with Jul to Vivo to see Just Follow Law, because she had some discount thing. I was never going to watch it, cuz it didn't seem very appealing to me. But I thought, since it was $7, I guess I wouldn't feel so cheated if it tuned out to be a crap movie. I was wrong. I still felt cheated. I left feeling like the movie owed me money. The plot felt like it was recycled from somewhere *ahemhotchickahem*, Fann Wong looked like she was forcing herself to overact at some bits to come of as having an Ah Bengish demeanour, the visual effects looked like they were made using Flash 1.0, and the movie looked and felt like it was trying too hard to make a good point, and in the end it only made a meagre one. Whatever happened to the magic essence in movies like Money No Enough? Jack Neo looks like he's losing his touch, and I'd wish he'd stop making movies that poke fun at the government. We all know that the government and the system is rather *insert expletive here* up, but these movies are becoming more and more preachy and cheesy. And the graphics... there are TV serials that have better graphics. These movies are starting to feel like the serials on Channel 8; cliche, reused, preachy, stiff acting, crap script... why don't you put Edmund Chen in the next movie and kill his character off? Then it will REALLY look like a Channel 8 serial. If it weren't for our limited talent pool, everyone's career would've been killed by this movie like what DOA did to Devon Aoki, with the exeption of the Indian guy, the carpark attendant. That guy's funny. He's the movie's only redeeming factor. He had better be in the next *insert expletive here* local movie.

Went with Cheryl on Monday to check out the shop where we're going to get the ministry shirts. I asked her do most of the talking, since her Chinese is better. After that, we were bored shitless. Wanted to go to Pet Safari, because we were that bored, but Fonz was saying something like the priests needed help at church whn we got off at Simei, and then saying it was nothing when we got to Tampines. Rrrgh... Didn't wanna go back to Simei, so we went to watch Protege. I had been aching to see it ever since I saw the trailer, and I finally did, and it was worth it. Really worth it. Very compelling, very gut wrenching, very three dimensional charcters, sometimes four, great story, a lot of keep you on tenterhooks kind of action, and still manages to have a few comical points. For me, one of the signs of success for a movie is when the audience is thinking, feeling and reacting the same way, like that last bit, everyone gasped and cringed and someone at the back was saying "No please don't do it." I don't care if it's in Chinese. At least it's ALL in Chinese. I'd pay $9 to go see it again. That's how much I like it.

After that, went with Jul to Sim Lim, cuz I needed a new RAM chip, and she needed new blank CDs. Dunno why she couldn't walk from her house to Challenger at Pasir Ris. I had to choose to go only when most of the shops were closed, so yeah we didn't hang around long.

I can't get the impending results out of my head. I'm starting to lose sleep over it, and over someone else., shan't say who. I know who I'm talking about, so that's good enough. Up to this point, I don't know what to expect at all, and I'm not sure what to do.

I feel like the world is ending. The days are getting dreary, the tension is rising, I'm more unfocused, I actually left the bag of sample shirts in the cinema, and I was damn gabra when I found out (ask Cheryl about the look on my face). Lucky for me someone trned them in to the lost and found. What's more is that my prospects in everything seem to be getting worse. When I was buying Toto, in my effort to get numbers which meant something to me, I ended up making statisctically bad combinations. What a waste of $2.

Wherever my life is going, I guess it's all up to Friday.

The money gets lesser every year

CNY is always the same, what can I say. Only difference is that my relatives on my mom's side found out that I play mahjong. There was blackjack, as usual, Bernadine was banker, as usual, she won a lot, as usual, and I lost a lot, as usual.

It's been a bittersweet CNY; nice things happened (my bank account doesn't feel so empty anymore... being jobless is expensive), bad things happened (never met her before), but yeah, life goes on.
The weirdest thing is people wishing me happy new year. Doesn't feel like a new year.

Last Monday's plan was to go for some party at MOS, but Dhana couldn't print out his free ticket, so we went to CHIJMES. It would seem kind of gay, just the two of us, but we're way beyond that kind of shit. La Baroque was nice, but watching him get huggy touchy feely with Nora the hot hostess was a bit annoying. The guy knows everyone there from when he used to work there. He knows the head bouncer, which is how we got into La Baroque when the age limit is 21 or 23 or somewhere there. Douglas O's band wasn't bad. Their rendition of Chasing Cars wasn't bad, but in my opinion, there are only six people that do Chasing Cars better than Re-entry: Johnathan Leong, and Snow Patrol.

Met Lawrence at the wake, whom we haven't seen in a long time. Nice fella, nice long chat, nice new ideas for the youth ministry. Anyway he pointed something out to us:

Straits Times February 11 page 7

Yeah yeah... bottom of the page:

Eh?

EH?!

AHMA! Why your eyes so big?! Lol!

Lol don't worry, Cheryl. We're all proud of you or being the hottest scholar in NTU so much so that they're willing to put your face in the papers. :D

Heh heh I'm gonna bring the page to the meeting on Saturday...

I wanna watch Prison Break Season 2! Mel!!!!!!!!!

I wonder... what's the point of me selecting "Remember Me" everytime I sign into Bloger if I have to do it everytime?

Don't really feel like blogging, cuz I'm dead beat, but I haven't done so for a while and it's not healthy. So yeah I'll just scribble something here.

Well, not scribble, of course. Er... hack? Hack, that's it. I'll just hack something out here.

Something's wrong with my g key.

Last Friday was a weird change. Instead of gymming, we ended up playing soccer. The opposing team had quite a line up, Nirej was saying. They had Peter Crouch (Aftar), Riise (some guy that kicks real hard... *insert expletive here* painful), an S League player, Stephen Chow (some other guy who has hair like him).... and Karthik.

Last Saturday's jamming session went better than the last one. Nirej's brother came and was snapping photos of us. I look rather unphotogenic (if there is such a word), but at least now I have slightly nicer phoos in the Re-enty Friendster page other than that Prison one. I got to play the bass! So cool! Wheeeeeee....

I met one of Dhana's friends, Danesh. They knew each other from Hindi class in Sinda. Nice chap, got his own sheeshah bong and everything. Not that merely owning your own sheeshah bong was enough for me to call him cool, he's just a nice guy. Apparently, he's from Ngee Ann Primary, so he knows Regina and Kit and all. Small world. Went to Georges for drinks, saw Billy there. Guy hasn't changed a bit. Everyone thought he would lose weight or something, but he's still the Billy we know.

Gymming getting slightly better.

Been having too much Subway. Funny thing is that I told Small Joe ast Sunday that honey mustard is the best sauce that Subway has, and when he said he didn't like mustard, I said it doesn't matter. Then Kim bought me a sub today with sweet onion sauce and I realised that sweet onion's better.

Saw the Charlton Man U match at Georges. I wanted to bet Man U wins, away away and 3-0 to Man U, biut I didn't. Turns out they nly won 2-0. Ah well.

I'm pretty sure there were a few more hings I wanted to say, but I can't rememer right now, so yeah.

Damn cough

Gym is hell. Somehow I'm getting the feeling that I'm going backwards instead of improving, or maybe it just seems that way cuz I can't keep up with Dhana anymore. Sean somehow managed to build out his moobs pretty quickly. And he hardly has any fats (well, neither does Karthik, I guess, but he's different). Then it occured to us one day why: cuz he's a *insert expletive here* vegan. It was quite obvious, come to think of it.

I keep running into David Lee at the Tampines gym these days. Haven't seen a lot of the 4E1 people these days. Oh, but I did see Zahirah at TP today. And it seems to me that everytime I'm at TP, we're always going to ITAS to eat. Haven't tried the other places yet. The cafeteria at Business school is always so *insert expletive here* packed.

Dhana gave me a kickstart in guitar a few weeks ago, and frankly I haven't een doing much about it. I wanted more expsure, so Dhana asked me to follow them jamming on Saturday. I thought it would be fun, and then he tells me he wants me to do vocals.

Sing!

I have no clue where he got any impression that I could sing. I myself dunno if I can sing at least competently, but I like to think that I'm at least not tone deaf. He said no pressure, and I thought "Alright, no pressure." Then a few sentences later, he says he wants to redo the Friendster page for Re-entry (that's the band) and list me as a vocalist.

*insert expletive here*

No pressure, eh?

I have this overwhelming feeling that he's pulling my leg. He's always doing shit like this.

I've finally found Half-Life 2 and Episode One! Haha! At good ol' Comics Connection, where they even open the packaging then and there to let you inspect the CD for scratches. You can't rely on *insert expletive here* Challenger anymore. They're too busy cashing on the Xbox 360 to bother keeping up with the latest titles. So critically aclaimed games like Bully and Extraction Point won't be found there, but they'll have crap games like Jaws. Jaws! *insert expletive here*

Cute Boy just called me to play pool with the other S15 guys, and he asked me to bring my SAFRA card. How does everyone know I have a SAFRA card? And if that got around fast, then why can't the fact that it's expired spread around too. I had to tell Pai Kia and Ray a few times. No more discounts!

But turns out you need a SAFRA card to play at SAFRA. So yeah. If only the pool hall at Pavillion didn't *insert expletve here* close down.

Kim's flooding my tag board. What's worse is she's using my name and she's making it look like we're aguing in the tag board. Haha... arguing in a tag board. "Kim, lemme use the com. I wanna argue with you." Ahahahaha!!!
